Who we are
Who we are
Salt and Light Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) committed to inspiring, empowering and connecting people to transform their communities through meaningful action and service.
Through strategic partnerships, community development initiatives and skills-based programmes, we work to uplift vulnerable communities, equip individuals with essential life and leadership skills, and create sustainable opportunities for growth. Our key focus areas are education support, children’s and youth development, community outreach, and capacity building in collaboration with local and global partners.
By fostering unity among churches, organisations and volunteers, we are building a network of change-makers committed to one mission: serving others and transforming lives. Salt and Light Foundation is the social arm of the Every Nation Cape Town congregations.

Our story
Salt and Light Foundation grew out of the Every Nation churches in Cape Town, from a simple conviction: faith should be translated into practical action. It was established as the social-responsibility arm of the church, helping each local Every Nation congregation, campus and community to serve its neighbours.
Our name comes from Matthew 5:13–16, the call to be “salt and light” in the world. That call still shapes our work: practical, sustainable and collaborative community development, carried out with good governance.

Where we work
Our base is at 5-7 Retreat Road, Retreat, Cape Town.
We serve alongside the Every Nation Cape Town congregations, from the city centre to the suburbs and township communities, and we are growing as new church plants emerge across the city. Our special projects include the Iziko Lobomi Centre in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay.
