Education Support

We invest in the next generation by supporting education and mentorship for children and young people. Support provides learning resources, after-school learning support, mentorship and leadership development opportunities.

This includes programmes at the Iziko Lobomi Centre in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay. The centre was established through the vision and work of the Hout Bay Christian Community Association and continues today as a special project supported by Salt and Light Foundation, in partnership with churches and community leaders across Cape Town.

Family Support

Community Health Evangelism (CHE) is a community-transformation approach that brings together health education, development and discipleship. Local volunteers, trained as Community Health Evangelists, work within their own communities to promote healthy practices and encourage economic and social development.

CHE creates self-sustaining cycles of change: as people experience practical breakthroughs and renewal, they become catalysts for change in their families and neighbourhoods.
